Don't go past the hedge on your new bike ! .....yes Dad !!! (20 years later) ......You know when you said don't go past the hedge. Yes dear ......We did. Quite often.!!!! XXXX ​

Flicks bedroom was being decorated and the girls were helping mum and dad. We had got rid of the big light in the middle of the ceiling and were replacing it with halogen spot lights. Carla and Flick were in the attic with me and mum was in the bedroom on the phone to Grandma Connie. I sent Flick down from the attic to stand by the light switch. "When I say now turn it on" I said. At this point Carla stepped off the beams, on to the plaster board and straight through the ceiling. Mum caught her legs and I caught her arms and for one perfect moment she hung in mid air. Flick said " Did you say now?"

The first time we allowed the girls to pack their own luggage for a beach holiday. Carla packed her clothes in her hand luggage and filled her suitcase with shoes. She liked shoes! Xxxx

.. The time Carla went to junior school fancy dress as the Wardrobe from the NarniA stories .. And won!! Xx
